Headbox Sheets

Dedicated for Hydraulic Headboxes

Hydraulic headbox equipped with Lamella sheets is a proven technology in modern paper making. The lamella sheet is invented around 1970s, in order to solve the fiber flocculation issue at high flow turbulence. It is also called divider sheet, which literally “divide” the headbox flow into layers, hence guarantee a uniform jet flow.

Design

One of the most important design characteristic for Lamella sheets is the adaptor geometric. It has to be strong enough to hold the sheet, especially during the headbox start/stop, where the pressure is changing and also vacuum effects.
We are offering most common adaptors with tapered sheet tip as shown, and also customised products as request.

Materials

Different materials have been used and tested in the past 40 years. Depending on the application, e.g. stock temperature, chemicals, maintenance, it is common to find: polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene (PE), carbon fiber (CF), composite materials, polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
We are providing the most widely used material polycarbonate (PC).
